​Blockchain is one of the most talked about emerging technologies that is changing the world. It has been compared to the introduction of the internet and the dot.com era, yet it is not yet widely understood by attorneys. Debbie Hoffman, a leading advisor and blockchain expert, will explain the basics of blockchain, how is it utilized and where this cutting edge technology is being operationalized. She will provide use case scenarios in the legal and business lifecycle and provide insight into how this leading technology can be introduced into law. The session will also touch upon bitcoin and electronic currency and how it relates to the blockchain evolution.

As Co-Founder of Symmetry Blockchain Advisors, Ms. Hoffman helps her clients through her experience in law, blockchain, cryptocurrency and technology. She has previously served as an international General Counsel, corporate counsel at a large New York based law firm, and professor at one of the largest universities in the United States. In 2017 Debbie was named as a Top General Counsel by the First Chair Awards and named as a “Hot 100” in Mortgage Professional America.

She was elected as a 2016 and 2014 Woman of Influence by Housingwire Magazine and was awarded a 2015 Stevie® Award, Woman of the Year and a 2014 Stevie® Award, Female Executive.
