In our first chapter we looked at the dynamics of innovation, the shift in focus from product to process innovation triggered by the emergence of a dominant design.
In our second chapter we initially discussed the fusion of innovation, how novel ideas are adopted in the marketplace by different categories of users. We then explored the concepts of evolution and disruption by looking at industry s-curves, their buildup and sequence based on the unfolding of evolutionary or revolutionary innovations where the leaders typically arise from outside of an established industry and although often initially inferior to the incumbents will rocket past them despite their redoubled efforts.
And now let’s look how to put this into action for successful innovation and investment.
